Hi, I’m Tess; the maker behind The Silver Filly.

I live in Central Oregon with my husband and daughter, surrounded by llamas, my sweet gelding and wild German Shorthair Pointer.

Silversmithing started as something I wanted to try and quickly became something I couldn’t stop thinking about. I’m still learning, through plenty of practice, a few do-overs, and the guidance of a wonderful mentor. One of my favorite parts is watching a piece take shape and knowing that someday it might become part of someone else’s story: the ring they reach for every day, the necklace they wear to a special occasion, or a gift that reminds them of home.

The Silver Filly is my little corner of that world. I make each piece by hand, drawn to beautiful stones, western details, and jewelry with a little grit and a whole lotta soul.
